2020 Anime Hakushon Daimaō Discloses Cast, Staff, Sequel Plot, and April 11 Debut

On Wednesday Tatsunoko Production declared the main team members, cast, story plot and April 11 debut on Yomiuri TV of its new anime television series Hakushon Daimaō 2020 inspired by the 1969 anime Hakushon Daimaō. The new anime commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1969 anime series.

The new anime’s droll muffle parody story is set 50 years after the 1969 anime, with Kan-chan’s grandkid Kantarō Yodayama meeting Akubi as she goes on an excursion to get ready to be sovereign. In the human world, Kantarō and Akubi go on different experiences, landing positions, and become familiar with the significance of having dreams.

Sumire Morohoshi is the voice over artist of Akubi who is the new series central character. Kantarō Yodayama is voiced by Miyuri Shimabukuro. In 2016 the original voice over artist Tooru Oohira died and after that Hakushon Daimaō is voiced by Kōichi Yamadera. Daiki Yamashita is the voice over artist of Pūta who is the son of Hakushon and his elder brother is Akubi-chan.

The anime is being directed at Tatsunoko Production and Nippon Animation by Atsushi Nigorikawa. The series scripts are being supervised by Hiroko Kanasugi. The original designs of characters have been illustrated by Suzuka Yoshida and for animation those designs are being adapted by Shin Takemoto and Masatsune Noguchi. The director of sound is Satoshi Motoyama. The music is being composed by Takamitsu Shimazaki, Hiroshi Sasaki, and Teppei Shimizu. For music production Magic Capsule is ascribed. For production Tatsunoko Production and Yomiuri TV are ascribed.

From 1969 to 1970 the anime Hakushon Daimaō was directed by Hiroshi Sasagawa. In 2001 a follow up series named Yobarete Tobidete Akubi-chan was made based by the anime and in 2001 the show in return had a follow up. In 2013 a live action special was made based by the anime.

Last April the anime movie Pandora to Akubi by XFLAG and Tatsunoko Production premiered which included character Akubi-chan of Hakushon Daimaō, the daughter of the ostensible genie character named Hakushon. The April anime has been explained by XFLAG and Tatsunoko Production as a combat entertainment for females.
