Manga Somari and the Guardian of the Forest Concludes Due to Author's Worsening Health

On Tuesday the North Stars Pictures updated on the Comic Zenon website that manga Somari and the Guardian of the Forest by Yako Gureishi has now concluded because of the declining health of its author.

The manga was issued digitally in English by North Star Pictures and the manga was added by Anime database website MyAnimeList in its website for free in English that began from December 2019.

On January 9 a television anime was premiered inspired by the manga in Japan. The anime has been co-produced by Crunchyroll and it has also telecast the series with English captions under the name Somali and the Forest Spirit. An English dubbed version has also been telecast by Crunchyroll. The anime has 12 episdes in total.

The anime has been explained by Crunchyroll in the following manner:

The world is managed by a variety of brutal creatures, who oppressed people and drove them to approach annihilation. At some point, the woods gatekeeper Golem meets a human young lady. This is an account of an excursion that would tie an individual from the withering “human” faction to the woods watchman Golem, as father and little girl.

In 2015 the manga was commenced. In April 2019 the sixth assembled volume of the manga was issued by North Stars Pictures.
