Anime Premiere and Availability

Marking its debut on January 5, Crunchyroll has proudly included the anime in its repertoire, showcasing it alongside its original Japanese release.

Dynamic Creative Team

Takahide Ogata takes the helm as the director at Studio Add and Shinei Animation. Assisting this fantastic voyage, Shogo Yasukawa orchestrates the series scripts, and Kenji Tanabe breathes life into characters with his designs. Complementing the visuals, the musical group Elements Garden—comprising Hitoshi Fujima and Seima Kondō—enriches the series with their melodic compositions.

The opening theme “Cure” echoes the talents of waterweed, as ChouCho’s “Green Jade” gracefully concludes each episode with its enchanting ending theme.

A Whimsical Isekai Journey

A high school student named Usato coincidentally encounters Suzune, the student council president, and his classmate Kazuki. Suddenly, a magical portal engulfs the trio, whisking them away to an alternate realm.

Destined to battle a demon king’s forces, Suzune and Kazuki are recognized as heroes, while Usato is inadvertently swept along. Despite this twist of fate, Usato’s unique healing powers soon come to light, leading to his abduction by Rose, the commander of the life-saving corps, who eagerly enrolls him into their ranks.

The Novel’s Path to Anime Stardom

Kurokata initially unfolded this light novel series on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2014. The MF Books imprint then polished the first volume with KeG’s illustrations in March 2016, culminating with the 12th and finale volume released in March 2020. Meanwhile, Reki Kyūgazan has transferred the tale into a captivating manga version, published in physical form by Kadokawa.
