In this captivating series set within a mystical enclave, where gods cohabit with humans, we follow the journey of Ichiyō, a determined young god-catcher. He embarks on a quest alongside his ally, the deity Tenkō, to apprehend rogue gods who have escaped throughout the land. The duo focuses on capturing four malevolent deities, whose existence threatens to unravel the fabric of their world.

The adventure first unfurled across the pages of Ichijinsha’s Zero-Sum Ward magazine in 2008, authored by Takayama. When the publication was discontinued in 2015, the unfolding narrative found a new home on the Zero-Sum Online platform. Presently, Takayama’s longest-serving series is housed there, with 16 volumes published to date and a readership that has welcomed over 1.3 million copies, inclusive of digital releases.

Previously, Shinobu Takayama’s storytelling prowess was brought to life with the adaptation of her Amatsuki manga into a TV anime back in 2008. The emerging Haigakura anime seems poised to spark a similar excitement among fans and first-time viewers alike.
