Bungo Stray Dogs Anime Episode 35 Review

Episode 35 of Bungo Stray Dogs, in some respect, resembles the Fairy Tail anime. This is because of the fact that the scenes keep on switching from one character to another and from one action sequence to the next. This happen both in a figurative and real sense, such that no particular scene is given too much time. This type of composition is best suited to a storyline that is rapidly changing and there is much to follow, like in this episode of Bungo Stray Dogs. However, I am surely not a fan of this kind of anime format. As the season is approaching its end, we hope that the cannibalism mystery is sorted out.

Bungo Stray Dogs Anime Episode 35 Review

The lives of the leaders of both the organizations are in danger due to this cannibalism mystery. Moreover, participants of both the organizations are deeply affected by the obscurity and unpredictability of the situation. We can expect the story to turn out like this, as it is included in Dostoyevsky’s ploy. He can simply destroy the two groups internally by detonating explosives inside them. Last week’s obviously directed assault on Kunikida is a proof of this. Not so long ago, he purposely took advantage of Kunikada’s agony and distress, in efforts to undermine one of the toughest fighters of the Agency. The Mafia has strength in numbers as compared to The Agency, therefore the Agency’s strength will be substantially diminished as a result. The Agency is suffering a great blow because of the loss of Dazai and Kunikida. Even if his suicide bomber did not work out, as meticulous as Dostoyevsky is, he also took out Katai for insurance, or at least made Kunikida believe that he did so.

It would be difficult for the leader of the Rats to survive, without external assistance obtained by the Agency from ex-members of the Guild. We were sure that Atsushi would be assisted by Lucy, as Lucy has a hideout which is Anne’s room. However, Rampo has a book as secret weapon. This book gives him the potential to get rid of Chuuya. Even though Chuuya is missing from the scene for a short period of time as a result of this, he has performed the task of bringing the Agency to the stage where they can fight against Rampo. Chuuya poses significant danger to others as Dazai is admitted at the infirmary. In my opinion, Chuuya is the most unlikely character to pull through a mystery. Even if it’s not the most popular category of anime, it’s still a Golden Age Edgar Allan Poe classic. Going against Rampo could prove to be the last nail in Chuuya’s coffin. However, Chuuya is focused on his moves, while Rampo is more about playing the detective. Chuyya may have an upper hand because of this.

Not any of this would be of any significance in the end. If Fukuzawa and Mori fight each other and get their organization involved in the fight as well, then the only beneficiary of this situation would be Dostoyevsky. Members of both the organizations are so blind to this situation because they are busy in protecting their leaders. Members of both organisations are competent enough to work for new leaders, but in my opinion, for them it’s out of the question to work for new leaders. Both the men are thus compelled to move to a house in the forest and live there on their own till death finds either of them. This would be something that they had planned for their future and consequently this would uphold their allegiance to their respective organization.

Clearly, this is not a foolproof plan. No one will be prudent enough to comprehend why they would devise such a plan or whether both the men would live long enough to talk about lt. It’s not only Kunikida who has landed himself in hot water, Chuuya may find himself in trouble too because of the book which Rampo has. In the fight between Akutagawa and Kyouka, Akutagawa has demonstrated self-control. However, in my opinion we can’t expect him to show the same restraint in case of Mori’s death. The fact is that some repercussions will inevitably be a part of every plan, but it might be that Fukuzawa and Mori are the best that they have at the moment.

Would the plan be a success or failure? Would Kunikada be able to survive another catastrophy or not? Would Katai be able to help Kunikida and would Dostoyevsky be able to get Kunikida or not? The mystery is yet to unfold.
