That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is one of the most popular isekai anime especially among the fans of isekai genra. It also follows a Japanese salaryman but contrary to the 8th son, Mikami Satoru is a 37 years old exhausted man who is resurrected as a slime in other word after being killed by a thief while saving his colleague. Being a slime, he roams around feeding on herbs before he meets a strong storm dragon who Veldora who was trapped in a cave 300 years ago by a hero. The cause of death before resurrection is quite distinctive in this one as the young boy Touya Mochizuki died inadvertently and as an apology God offers him to reborn in a fantasy world with widh that will be fulfilled in this new world. As title suggests, he accepts the offer and is transported to another world with his wish of having his smartphone with him and also like other isekai anime the protagonist is overpowered. From here begins a new journey in a fantasy world where e meets some cute girls who have crush on him.
The title of this anime is self-explanatory. It is a typical isekai anime which is focused on all the common elements of isekai anime including all the absurdity and harem. It’s much like 8th son which is more focused on harem with accentuated isekai tropes.

Ascendance of a Bookworm is another isekai anime that follows a bookworm Urano Motosu who wants to become a librarian and soon after her wish is fulfilled she dies in earth quake by getting crushed under the book shelf. Her only wish is to explore more books in her after life but unfortunately she is resurrected in a world where books are only accessible to nobles. She is referred as Myne who is the daughter of a town guard. But she is determined t fulfill her wish and so embarks on a journey of creating her own books and become a librarian.
This anime shares the slice of life side of The 8th son? Are you kidding me? unlike other anime in the list which are more focused on the either the harem part or the action part of the anime. The protagonist in this anime is not overpowered like other anime. But this anime shares many other similarities like average family background of the protagonist who is resurrected as a child in the fantasy world and the fact that both protagonist are interested in knowledge which is heavily focused in Ascendance of Bookworm. Isekai Cheat Magician is the isekai anime which follows the story of two friends Taichi Nishimura and Rin Azuma who are not resurrected but transported to another magical world through a strange light. They are exposed to a threat caused by a raging monster but fortunately they are rescued by some adventurers who insist on visiting their Guild to become part of their group. But while they apply for the aptitude test to get enrolled their results show that the level of their power is off the charts and they both are referred as ‘cheat magicians’ because of their excessive powerful skills but this make them wonder how did they end up here and why in the middle of their adventure.
