Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro is the author and illustrator of the Japanese manga series Toriko. It was converted into an anime series by Toei Animation, which premiered on April 3, 2011 in Japan. This series is about the world of gourmet food, and it follows a young man named Toriko as he searches for unique ingredients to make a full-course meal.

This anime series is part of the Toriko anime series, a collection of anime Television series produced by Toei Animation based on the Toriko manga series. The anime TV adaption premiered on April 3, 2011.

Viz Media in North America has licensed the anime TV series for simultaneous streaming on Hulu and Neon Alley, an online channel inside Viz’s network, which will begin on April 16, 2012.

Toriko Plot

Toriko is a story about a hunter named Toriko who sets out to catch the world’s most valuable delicacies and build the ultimate Full Course Menu. To complete this mission, he must hunt down the creatures that provide these unique ingredients and defeat them in battle, thus strengthening himself and proceeding toward the completion of his menu.
