The manga centers around Nike, the decided princess of the Rain Dukedom who has a baffling force: she can control precipitation. In the wake of losing a round of rock, paper, and scissors to her more seasoned sisters, she is compelled to reluctantly wed the ruler of the Sun Kingdom, Livius I. Livius or Livi for short vanquished the world in three years, and is known as the Repulsive King. However, when Nike meets him just because, she finds amazingly that he is a kid more youthful than she is. Livius suddenly requests that Nike consider forward the downpour, and when she cannot, he has her tossed behind bars. The story follows the two, who from the start are a hitched couple just in name, as they bit by bit build up a passionate bond.
In 2009 and 2011 two one shots of the manga was penned by Shiina in Hana to Yume and then in 2012 the complete series was commenced in the similar magazine.
In April 2014 a television anime version was made based on the manga. The series was telecast by Crunchyroll as it broadcast with the name The World Is Still Beautiful. The anime was certified by Sentai Filmworks and in 2015 set out it on Blu-ray Disc and DVD.
