Gingitsune | Manga - MyAnimeList.net

Only the young Makoto is able to view Gintarou, the kitsune who serves as the herald of the Saeki family shrine. Gin is her endearing nickname for him, and she regularly seeks his guidance in predicting the futures of her friends and guiding her in other areas of her life.

Despite Gintaro’s status as an old and venerated spirit who has been passed down through Makoto’s family for generations, she and Makoto share a strong affinity. They collaborate in order to uphold the faith of the community and to provide assistance to people who visit the shrine in search of enlightenment.

According to Japanese mythology, Gingitsune is a wonderful illustration of a kitsune fulfilling its role as a messenger for the deity Inari. He has the ability to fly and see into the future because to the fox fire he has. He serves as a messenger for God and makes his home in the temple, but only the oracle Makoto can understand what he has to say. Due to the fact that Makoto is still a teenager, she consults Gintaro rather regularly in order to further her own interests.

It must be really satisfying for him to have such a solid connection with someone that isn’t based just on dislike or awe. Gingitsune observes these two individuals as they work hard to fulfill the obligations placed on them.

9. Otome Yokai Zakuro

Otome Youkai Zakuro Picture Drama - MyAnimeList.net

As a result of Japan’s increasing exposure to Western culture, the level of conflict between humans and youkai has increased. Youkai are now considered to be residents of a lower social level, and their dwellings are being destroyed as a result. A coalition consisting of members of the military and many half-kitsune daughters is created in order to examine and mediate any difficulties that may occur as a direct result of this. Zakuro, a proud half-kitsune, despises the way in which other people so casually discard their customs in favor of more modern Western practices.

Kei is a human who is scared of youkai, and Kei is a proud half-kitsune who can’t take it when people replace their customs with modern Western methods. Both of these things drive Kei crazy. When they become partners, they have an obligation to one another to get a deeper understanding of one another in order to realize their vision of a peaceful existence for their species.

Otome Yokai Zakuro has a lot going for it, but the fact that there are many fox girls in it is already a significant positive. This anime reveals a more spiritual aspect of kitsune and youkai in general, despite the fact that the kitsune girls don’t engage in any of the tricks or mischief that are typically associated with their species. However, this might be linked to the fact that they have a human side. Our is a great program that takes itself a bit more seriously than some of the others on this list, and the spiritual side of the fights that the ladies are engaged in is fascinating to see.

8. The God Of Highschool

The God Of Highschool

One of the most well-liked anime series at the moment is titled “The God of Highschool.” Despite the fact that the narrative chronicles the exploits of Jin Mori, a particular Kitsune was able to steal the show for a considerable amount of time.

Charyeok, who is played by Park Il-Pyo, is the Nine-Tails Guardian. It is the only type of Charyeok that can entirely transform its user into a nine-tailed fox, and it does this by making the person look like a fox with nine tails. His strength is beyond comprehension, and it played an important part in the anime.

Park Il-Pyo got the Key due to the fact that he is the current owner of the Nine-Tails Guardian. The Lock that has been put upon people can only be broken by one other human being, and that is The Key. They were unable to rise up against the gods as long as that lock was in place.

Given that Jin is the main character, we had all anticipated that he would play that role. On the other hand, the animation completely blew our minds and left us all speechless.

And if we’re being really candid, following Pyo’s debut and the big reveal of his power, we all developed a little bit of a crush on him.

7. Yobi, The Five Tailed Fox

Yobi The Five Tailed Fox

This is the story of a Kumiho, often known as a nine-tailed fox. Kumiho has a very unique ability: they are able to assume the shape of any living entity, including, of course, human beings. It is well known that they can turn into attractive ladies in order to lure in their prey and then consume them.

But there is always one bad apple who has to tarnish the rest of the flock’s reputation. Yobi would be the one to blame for this misdeed. In addition to having a good heart, this fox has just five tails, not nine, as opposed to the usual nine.

Her family was murdered by fox hunters, and as a result, she was forced to live in seclusion with extraterrestrials who had crash-landed on earth. As if the narrative weren’t strange enough on its own.

When one of her companions from another dimension was taken captive by the locals, her life took another abrupt turn for the worse. She blended in with human culture so that she might rescue him.

She had no idea how much joy it was to live a human life until she had experienced it firsthand among them. Going to school and having new acquaintances nearly makes it seem as though she has forgotten that there is still someone who needs to be saved. In addition to that, fox hunters have already located her.

6. The Helpful Fox Senko-San

The Helpful Fox Senko-San

What could possibly cause you more stress than your job? I have no thoughts at all. Because of the nature of his profession, Kuroto Nakano, a person who works in an office, is continuously irritable, just like the rest of us normal human beings. Stress, on the other hand, should not be treated lightly since it builds up inside your body like cancer and will wreck your life, which is already fraught with problems.

Fox deities have the power to perceive the gloominess and pressure that is building up inside of their worshippers, and it is their duty to save them. A fox girl named Senko-san was the partner that Kuroto was given. She makes it clear that she is not going to give up on him until she has released all of the bad energy that is contained in him.

It’s hilarious to observe that she is the one causing him to experience even greater levels of stress than usual due to the peculiar ways that she employs.

5. Wagaya no Oinari-sama (Our Home’s Fox Deity)

Wagaya no Oinari-sama

Both Toru and Noboru are descended from the Mizuchi lineage, which is renowned for its spiritual prowess in the domain of water. They have enslaved and vanquished youkai over the course of many millennia, and during that time they have always relied on a female to effectively wield their power.

However, the final priestess has passed away, and the youkai has now turned its attention to her two sons as potential prey. A strong kitsune known as Tenko Kugen is released from his bonds and given his freedom in exchange for Toru and Noboru’s protection. Kugen has a lot on her plate since these two boys have a knack for getting into all kinds of scrapes.

Because it depicts the kitsune as more than just a fox with abilities or a herald for God, the anime Wagaya no Oinari-sama is an excellent example of the genre of kitsune anime. Kuugen is capable of a wide variety of transformations, including changing between male and female forms, transforming into a fox, and even combining her fox and human forms.

The antiquated manner in which she speaks serves as a reminder that she is from a different age, and the fact that she has a high regard for human technology and practices further defines her as a separate entity. She treats humans pretty much anyway she pleases most of the time, but she maintains a healthy amount of reverence for good spirits and deities. Because of this, Wagaya no Oinari-sama is our go-to choice for the best kitsune anime.

4. Inukami

Inukami

Even though Keita is a member of the powerful and respected Kawahira clan, which is made up of dog god tamers who protect the world from evil, he spends most of his time daydreaming about women. He doesn’t care that his family doesn’t like what he’s doing, and he often complains that the work is boring. It makes sense that the Inukami he made a deal with is emotional, self-centered, and a little bit of a jerk.

Youko, on the other hand, cares more about forcing Keita to go on dates with her or punishing him for flirting with other women. She uses her powers to punish bad spirits and her bossy owner in whatever way she thinks is best. Even though it’s clear that Youko loves Keita, she keeps a secret that she fears will drive them apart.

Since the show is on the list, you probably already know that Youko isn’t an Inukami. Her secret is that she is a kitsune, and she tried to trick Keita into thinking she was an Inukami so that the two of them would have to get closer. Youko is as secretive as legend says foxes are, and she likes to play around with her powers. Even though Inukami is a great example of a kitsune with great skills, the fact that she took a long time to show who she really was puts her in ninth place on the list.

3. Kanokon (Kanokon: The Girl Who Cried Fox)

Kanokon

The fact that Kouta and Chizuru cannot live without one another is common knowledge across their whole high school. They are unaware that Chizuru is a kitsune and Kouta is just a typical human boy. Kouta, on the other hand, is a human. Chizuru first keeps this information from Kouta because she is afraid he would turn his back on her. However, Kouta demonstrates that Chizuru’s feelings for him are mutual. In point of fact, Kouta worries more about the possibility that she may corrupt him while they are still in high school together than he does about the possibility that she will injure him.

When Kouta finds out that Chizuru isn’t the only youkai in the school… or that she isn’t the only one who has her sights set on his heart… Things get a great deal more challenging!

Chizuru, the fox spirit, is a playable character in Kanokon. She is a representation of the kitsune and possesses many of her skills. She is crafty and deceptive, and she always gets what she wants because she possesses powerful spiritual talents. When she joins forces with Keita, she is able to not only alter her appearance but also develop into a more powerful person as a result of this transformation.

Throughout the course of the series, we come into contact with several kitsune as well as other youkai. Kanokon is placed third on our list because it provides various illustrations of the skills possessed by a kitsune.

2. Inu X Boku SS

Inu X Boku SS

Ririchiyo Shirakiin is a brat that comes from a wealthy household and is known for his spoiled behavior. Everyone is aware of her little stature and adorable appearance as well as her enormous riches. Because of her prominence and the fact that they are concerned for her safety, the people around her have been giving in to all of her demands. She became an adult who was TOTALLY reliant on other people.

She didn’t have much exposure to the outside world, so she doesn’t have much of a filter and constantly says what’s on her mind straight out. 1. Naruto

Naruto

This anime is mostly on Naruto’s path to become Hokage, but the kitsune within him has a big influence on how things go for him in the series.

In his early twenties, Naruto Uzumaki is a gifted young ninja with lofty goals. It’s no secret that he aims to be both the world’s finest ninja and the village’s most powerful leader. Since he was a toddler, Naruto has had the mighty Kyuubi, or Nine-Tailed Fox, trapped inside of him. As a result, people avoid him because of his antics, not because of his powers.

Additionally, he is isolated from the rest of the town because they believe that Naruto may someday bring tragedy to them. Naruto has to battle both the cynical voice of the Kyuubi and the vicious remarks of people who are afraid of him.

Aside from his path to become Hokage and the lives and conflicts of other ninja he encounters, Naruto’s inner kitune has a tremendous impact on the course of his life.

Awe, dread, envy, and even hatred are stirred by Naruto’s great power, which sets him apart from the rest of his peers. The Nine-Tailed Fox has a significant importance in the plot as the series goes (and continues to evolve). Because we don’t get to see a lot of the kitsune in Naruto, he’s our tenth choice.
