In Taiwan Film Violet Evergarden Listed With May 1 Opening

The anime movie Violet Evergarden: The Movie by Kyoto Animation is being listed by Yahoo! Movies Taiwan along with a May 1 commencing date in Taiwan. Cai Chang is noted as the distributor of the movie.

On April 24 the movie will release in Japan. In real the movie was scheduled to release on January 10 but it got postponed.

On September 6 a different side story anime of the project named Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll was released in Japan. While theaters initially wanted to screen this anime for about fourteen days in particular, the anime has expanded its run a few times. On November 1 the movie was released in Taiwan by Cai Chang. The anime held its reality debut as arranged at the AnimagiC show in Mannheim, Germany, which ran on August 3 and 4. The AnimagiC coordinators said that they proceeded with the debut at the express solicitation of the studio.

On July 18 the first studio of Kyoto Animation was destructed due to fire in which 36 people lost their lives and 33 were badly wounded. An account was started by Kyoto Animation to collect donations. The collected donation will be given to the families of those who lost their lives in this tragic accident and to the wounded people; also it will be used for reconstruction.

In January 2018 the anime version of the novel Violet Evergarden written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase was started in Japan on TV and in Netflix for some areas. On April 2018 the anime was commenced in U.S on Netflix.
