Funimation to Screen Violet Evergarden I: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll Anime in U.S. Theaters

On Saturday at the Ohayocon 2020 event it was declared by Funimation that in the starting of 2020 it will screen a side story named Violet Evergarden I: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll of the anime Violet Evergarden in some chosen cinemas situated in United States. The screenings will be in Japanese along with English captions.

The new anime’s story focuses on Isabella, the beneficiary to a respectable house. She goes to a school for well-prepped young ladies, under a contract with her dad. To her, this wonderful spot where white camellias blossom is simply a jail. Having surrendered all expectation and desires for her future, Isabella meets her new habits educator, Violet Evergarden.

Minako Kotobuki plays Isabella York, the scion to the extraordinary and respectable place of York who is skeptical about her future, and who holds no affection for Violet, her new educator. Aoi Yūki plays Taylor Bartlett, a young lady with no family who comes to visit Violet. For the side story the main cast members of the anime series came back. The anime theme song called Amy is presented by Minori Chihara.

At first it was planned that the anime will screen in Japan from 6 September for just two weeks but eventually it screened for five weeks. Ultimately the movie generated aggregate profit of 641,980,500 yen.

On August 3 and 4 the world debut of the anime was held as scheduled at the AnimagiC convention in Mannheim, Germany. The planners and team of AnimagiC stated that they sustained the screening because of the utter request of the studio.

In January 2018 the anime version by Kyoto Animation of novels Violet Evergarden by writer Kana Akatsuki and artist Akiko Takase debuted on televisions in Japan and on Netflix in specific regions. In April 2018 the anime was commenced on Netflix in the United States. On April 24 the separate anime movie project Violet Evergarden: The Movie by Kyoto Animation will be released in Japan.
