Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Anime’s English Dub Casts Steve Blum

On Wednesday it was declared by the authorized English Twitter account of the anime of manga Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge that Steve Blum is the voice over artist of the character demon Kyogai Kyogai who emerged in the 11th episode of the anime which will debut this Saturday in English on Adult Swim’s Toonami. A trailer was started to telecast by Aniplex of America that shows the English voice of the character.

The anime story has been explained by Aniplex of America in the following manner:

It is the Taisho Period in Japan. Tanjiro, a sympathetic kid who sells charcoal professionally, discovers his family butchered by an evil spirit. To exacerbate the situation, his more youthful sister Nezuko, the sole survivor, has been changed into an evil spirit herself.

In spite of the fact that crushed by this dreary reality, Tanjiro makes plans to turn into an evil presence slayer so he can transform his sister once more into a human, and execute the devil that slaughtered his family.

In April 2019 the anime was debuted and for 26 episodes it ran. The series has been certified by Aniplex of America and it is telecasting the show on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow. On October 12 the anime series telecast on Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block. A follow up anime movie will be made of the anime.

The anime has been directed at ufotable by Haruo Sotozaki. For scripts ufotable is credited. The designer of character is Akira Matsushima and the sub character designers were Miyuki Satō, Yōko Kajiyama, and Mika Kikuchi. The music has been composed by Yuki Kajiura and Gō Shiina. The series has been produced by Hikaru Kondo.

A stage play is being made in Japan based by the original manga. From January 18 to 26 the play will run in Tokyo at the Tennōzu Ginga Gekijō and from January 31 to February 2 it ran in Hyogo prefecture at the AiiA 2.5 Theater Kobe.

In February 2016 the manga premiered in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and on December 4 the 18th volume of the manga issued by Shueisha. On February 4 the 19th volume will be issued by Shueisha. The main manga is being issued by Viz Media in digital and print form.
