Boruto Anime Returns On Japanese Television

Boruto Anime Returns On Japanese Television

Anime fans have been disappointed and frustrated since the global pandemic made situation worst due to lock down. Fans of Boruto are also annoyed due to same reason as the anime which is produced by a studio with large no of staff, was being aired every week but due to lockdown situation, the anime production studios in Japan stopped working due to increasing risk. Boruto’s last episode was released in April after which the anime was postponed.

The studio announced in May that the production of the new episodes has been resumed. And the episode 155 of Boruto was in the making.  After one month of that announcement the anime has announced to be release by the end of June. It will be aired every Sunday at 5:30 JST on TV Tokyo according to the new schedule.

If you have been following the anime series then you might know where it left off. Sadly, the anime will not be resuming from where it left off. Just like Naruto, the studio does not hesitate in making as many filler episodes as it used to make for Naruto. Unfortunately, episode 155 is one of those filler.

The last episode was all about Himawari’s Training. She is the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. She is as smart as her mother but unluckily, she has taken her father’s gaucheness. Her training in ninja academy is in continuation. Despite of having Byakugan, she is not that much interested but soon she will get accustomed to it.

The anime will not be following the sequence of manga and we will not be watching the next plot of the manga but instead it is going to be a filler episode, focused on Mitsuki, as suggested by the title, Mitsuki’s Rainy Day. Mitsuki is the part of the present team 7. Boruto and Sarada are the rest of the team, while Konahamaru is the team leader. The episode will probably show some flashback from Mitsuki’s backstory or a mission that will highlight Mitsuki’s importance

There are some indication that that we have noticed in the scene after the ending scene. Mitsuki encounters a wounded man while following his cat. He will help him even though he has no idea who this man is. Nothing is implied about the nature of this man. We don’t know if he has any bad intentions or he is a good man. But the next episode will be about the next mission of team 7 which will be focused on this man that Mitsuki rescued during rainy night.

At this point the manga is way ahead regarding the plot. There are so many filler episodes in the anime that it becomes a little boring. Fillers episodes were not a big issue in Naruto as the plot was enjoyable as compared to Baruto. Considering that success, the anime should follow the plot sequence of the Manga. It’s good to highlight the characters in detail but it should not be done at the stake of losing fans’ interest.

The consequences of the battle between Momoshiki are still being experienced by Boruto and how will it effect in future is unknown. We still yet to know more about Kawaki who appeared in the beginning of the anime. It seems like that the anime is going to last for a long time and I’m looking forward to ninja action to get more exciting.

There will be more delayed episodes due to the lock down situation. This global pandemic has caused a great deal of obstacle in the production of plenty of anime. This episode has been delayed more than once. Stay tuned to get updates in case the date changes again.
