2020 brought some really great ad memorable shows when it comes to the anime of Winter Season. One of these unique and captivating anime series include Somali to Mori no Kami-sama. Set in a fantasy world, Somali to Mori no Kami-sama is an amazing anime that offers a sweet story about a father, daughter growing love, a never-ending journey in a gorgeous and unique world with beautiful and unique creatures which include goblins, spirits, witches and many more. It is a warm-hearted and sweet story of between love the two main characters. This is the trope that can be seen in other anime and since we all love Somali and the Forest Spirit, here is a list of anime series that have many similarities with Somali to Mori no Kami-sama.
Amaama to Inazuma
A high school teacher, Inuzuka Kouhei is a single father and is left with taking care of his daughter without her mother around but there are so many things that he lacks like cooking. The hardships of single parenting is not easy as he also has to keep up with his work while taking care of his daughter so she ends up eating ready-made food that he buys from a store. Kouhei feels ashamed and annoyed when his daughter tells him that they haven’t been eating together ever since her mother died. Lida Kotori is a student in his school who invites him and his daughter to the restaurant that is owned by her mother. But when they get there, they find no one but Kotori eating alone as her mother is not somewhere else. Three of them cook and feed themselves while Kouhei finally makes his daughter happy like before.
Amaama to Inazuma is not the story about the parental between a creature and a human kid but it is still similar to Somali and the Forest Spirit with respect to the parenting and fatherly love for his daughter. Slice of Life is the other element that is common in both the series. Both series have cute child character that takes the show to the whole other level of cuteness with their innocent questions, childish acts, and mischiefs.

Hinamatsuri
Nitta is a Yakuza member who comes across a capsule that contains a little girl at his home while he was relishing his assemblage of prized vases. The girl’s name is Hina who has epic psychic powers. Hina is unable to control her powers especially when things are a little tensed up, she becomes more harmful when she is tensed. Nitta let her stay with him so that he can prevent the occurrences of any kind of damage. She also finds her extremely useful for his yakuza activities.
Hinamatsuri is different from Somali and the Forest Spirit in terms of genre as it is a comedy anime. But both anime shares the element of adult and child relationship that develops with the anime. Hina is also a non-human creature like Golem in Somali and the Forest Spirit.

Uchi no Ko no Tame Naraba, Ore wa Moshikashitara Maou mo Taoseru kamo Shirenai
Dale Reki is an 18 years old adventurous traveler who is respected in the city of Kreuz and is famous for his adventures. While he is out on his adventurous journey, he comes across a little demon girl, Latina who lost her father and is starving. Dale becomes her guardian and acts as a parent to her as her cute and innocent nature makes him love her as a father who tries to keep a balance between his adventurous life and parenting. Dale is also worried about the mysterious aura surrounding the little demon. Latina’s character develops as she lives and adjusts in the human world.
The child and adult relationship growing into a father-daughter love is what makes it similar to Somali and the Forest Spirit. The other thing which makes it even more similar to this anime is the fact that one of them is not human. Like Somali, Latina also has to adjust to a world where she is the only one of her kind, surrounded by beings who are strangers to her.

Mahoutsukai no Yome
Hatori Chise is a teenage girl who lost interest in her life and becomes hopeless as she has been outcasted by her people due to her oddity for which she tries to sell herself. Not knowing what her future holds, she sells herself for 5 million pounds. She is taken by a bunch of robed men in a study room where she meets her new owner, Elias Ainsworth. He is a magus and magically takes her with him to his cottage in England where he tells her that he wishes to make her his apprentice and then his bride.
Among all the children in the list of the anime in this article, Chise is relatively older as she is 15 years old but compared to the vaguely wise and mature Elias, she seems childish and very young. Although the relationship between the adult and child is also different as the love shown in this series is not parental but, in the beginning, she acts as his student and in that way the relation is quite similar to Somali and Golem’s relation as Golem Elias is also emotionless at the beginning like Golem who learns to love and express his emotions from his human bride.

Somali and the Forest Spirit is an interesting and compelling anime with enchanting visuals of the fantasy world with some dark elements that are overcome with the cuteness of Somali. The anime that shows the love between the child protagonist and the adult gives the message of the importance of family and love that is not always restricted to the blood relations. The above-mentioned anime are portrayed the same thing.
