White Day is like Valentine’s Day. It is the day when it is time for men to give sweets to their loved one who gave them gift and sweet on the Valentine’s Day. In anime, we have seen many scenes and episodes on this particular day but in this article we will be discussing the five best moments that focused on this wonderful day.
My Love Story!! (Episode 21)
My Love Story is one of the best romance anime. It broke all the conventions of anime that we see in every romance anime and it taught what a real relationship is like. The main character of the series, Takeo Gouda wanted to show his gratitude to the girl he likes for making him feel special on Valentines’ Day by making cookies for her. Although it was a very expensive gift but He expressed his love through those cookies. It happened in episode 21 when the series was reaching towards the climax as show ended on episode 24. But this moment made us realize that the show was getting more and more adorable towards the end.
Wolf Girl and Black Prince (Episode 7)
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji is not a very popular series but there is an outstanding White Day episode that made us realize that love is a bit unusual. It happens in episode 7 when the male protagonist Kyouya Sata breaks up with his girlfriend Erika Shinohara telling he doesn’t like her anymore. Erika being annoyed, goes out on date with another guy, Yuu Kusakabe when it is White Day. Yuu confesses his love for Erika but she still likes Kyuoya. Luckily, Kyouya shows up and confesses his love for Erika and they both make up. White Day is very enchanting in the romantic world and it is brilliantly been shown in this anime.
Acchi Kocchi (Episode 12)
Acchi Kocchi also portrayed White Day but it showed both Valentine’s Day and White Day in the same episode. In the first half of the episode we saw the girls preparing gift for their loved ones and then in the second half we saw it showed the White Day which was hilarious. Some things they prepared for the girls was really cute and looked nice but Sakaki seek revenge for the gift he received on Valentine’s Day so he made marshmallows that looked like pig feet. This episode with both Valentine’s Day and White Day was both nice and funny.
Working!! (Episode 6)
If you are a one who always ends up liking the supporting character more than the main character in romantic series then you will definitely like episode 6 of Working. It is the White Day episode where Jun, the Chef gives the gift to Yachiyo Todoroki. Whereas, the protagonist also prepares gifts for Mahiru Inami and Popura Taneshima but it does not seems more romantic as we saw with the supporting characters. It teaches us to never hesitate to express our love on this day, no matter what the consequences are.
Fruits Basket 2001 (Episode 12)
The original Fruits Basket had an episode dedicated to White day as it was titled as White day. In this episode the trio went to hang out in hot spring where we get to see some funny moments like the ping pong match and there was some romantic moments too. Yuki Sohma gives golden hair ties to Tohru Honda as a gift. It was one of the best romantic moments and certainly most favorite for those who ship these two. By far White Day episode of Fruits Basket 2001 is the best White Day moment in the world of romantic anime.
White Day is not celebrated as Valentine’s Day in the real world but we get to see some really cute and funny moments in the anime. It is always nice to show gratitude to your loved one and prove that you love them as much as they do.
