Fire Force Anime added by Crunchyroll for Summer Simulcast

Television anime of Atsushi Ohkubo’s Fire Force (En En no Shōbōtai) manga will be streamed by Crunchyroll, starting on 4th July at the same time that it is televised in Japan. Crunchyroll also streamed promotional video for “long”, which was an English subtitled version of the anime series that premiered in March of this year.

On 5th July the anime will make its premiere. On TBS, MBS and other channels it will be the first title in the programming block “Super Animeism”. FunimationNow streaming service of Funimation will stream this anime and also its English dub this year.

The Manga is published in English by Kodansha Comics and they narrate the story as follows:

The clockwork metropolis of Tokyo has been brought to a standstill by terror. Demons have possessed the people and they have started to blow up into flames. Consequently, a special team of firefighters, the Fire Force, are on high alert. They are ready to fight the fires caused by the explosions, where ever they breakout. The special team of firefighters gets a boy names Shinra onboard their team. The unique capability of shinra is that he can run so fast that he outruns the “devil’s footprints” and in the process he destroys his shoes. Whether or not the source of bizarre phenomenon would be discovered by the Fire Force? Whether or not the Fire Force be able to save Tokyo from burning to ashes?
